Sister Wives star, Christine Brown, has officially left her plural marriage with Kody Brown. In a recent Cameo for a fan, Christine opens up about why she left. She said she began making her decisions “based on joy.”

In the preview for the upcoming Jan 23 episode of Sister Wives, Christine decides to leave her marriage with Kody. He revealed that he’s no longer interested in a “full marriage.”

Christine tells the cameras, “He said, ‘I am not interested in having an intimate marriage anymore.’” 

She revealed, “I am not OK with staying in a marriage where there is no intimacy.” As Sister Wives fans know, Kody has already done this with his first wife, Meri Brown.

Contrary to Christine, Meri has chosen to stay and stick with her platonic marriage with Kody.

On Nov 2, 2021, Christine revealed on her Instagram that she chose to leave her marriage. In the post, she wrote, “After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart, and I have made the difficult decision to leave.”

Christine opens up about making her ‘decision based on joy’

Christine opens up about what made her decide to leave her plural marriage with Kody in a Cameo for a fan. In the video (via Reddit), Christine says, “Becoming a badass was really, was an important step for me to make.” Check out the video below:

She revealed that she talked to her mother about what to do next in her marriage and life. Christine says, “And she was just saying you have to listen to your heart and to make a decision based on joy.”

Christine focuses on doing the ‘next right thing’ for her life

In the cameo, Christine admits to being worried about the backlash after splitting with Kody. She said that her mom encouraged her to decide for herself.

Christine reveals how the movie Frozen 2 inspired her to follow her heart. She said, “The movie, Frozen 2, Anna is in the pits of despair, like literally the bottom of a cave. And she starts singing about doing ‘the next right thing.’”

Christine said, “I cannot tell you how that resonated with me so much.” She admitted to just doing “the next right thing” for herself and her children.

It has been quite the journey for Christine to find happiness after being friend-zoned by Kody. Sister Wives fans think that the newly single Christine is glowing. Sister Wives airs Sundays on TLC and discovery+.
