Cher Winters (Bethannie Hare) was left in complete and utter shock in Hollyoaks tonight (November 25), as Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) revealed the truth about her sister’s death to all those present in The Dog.
With the blackmailer having revealed that the next sin is envy, the race was on for the McQueens, as they attempted to work out who the sin belonged to.
However, Cher was adamant that ‘envy’ was her sin, as she was jealous of her sister prior to her death.
Sylver (David Tag) became determined to help his daughter, as he promised her that he would secure the cash to pay the blackmailer in order to prevent her secret from being revealed.
Believing that her dad had sorted her problem, Cher felt free, and therefore she admitted her feelings for Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner), before the two made their relationship social-media-official.
Meanwhile, Mercedes’ interest was piqued when she witnessed how desperate Sylver was to acquire the cash to pay off the blackmailer, and therefore she quizzed him until he came clean.
The Dog landlady was incredibly understanding of Cher’s situation, but reiterated that the only reason the blackmailer has any power over them is because of these secrets, and thus they need to remove that power.
Therefore, Mercedes told everyone in The Dog that Cher killed her sister — just as Cher entered with boyfriend Romeo.
Will Mercedes come to regret her decision?
What’s more, how will Romeo react? Will this end his relationship with Cher before it’s even begun?
