Spoilers: Geoff takes cruel action on Tim and Sally's Corrie wedding day

It’s a big day for Sally and Tim Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine) as they prepare to get married again in Coronation Street but nasty Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) is on a mission to destroy their happiness.

Raging that his son has ‘switched sides’ after discovering his true nature as an abuser, Geoff is scheming to throw a spanner in the works, having promised the groom he will regret not inviting him after Tim asked him to do the right thing and stay away.

As Sally and Tim prepare for their day, their worries are on Geoff and what he might be planning – so Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) decides to take action.

She comes face to face with Geoff and it’s clear that she has a plan to get him out of the way – but will she regret crossing Geoff?

It seems that Abi has managed to diffuse the situation so that Sally and Tim can get on with enjoying their ceremony.

But as they exchange their vows, will Geoff break free and ruin everything for them? Or can they finally, officially become man and wife?

Whatever happens, the day is not drama free as Geoff soon has involved the police and Sally and Tim are dismayed as a cloud rises over their unhappiness.

But what is Geoff’s big plan this time? And who could be going away in handcuffs as he takes his spiteful revenge?

Tim is soon reminding Geoff that he has lost everything and everyone and he is the only one to blame – so whatever Geoff does certainly cements it for Tim that his life is better off without his twisted father.

Coronation Street continues on Wednesday October 7 at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
