George Kiss (Callum Kerr) is desperate to silence Courtney Donovan (Amy Conachan) in Hollyoaks, after she makes a shock revelation about him to John Paul McQueen (James Sutton).
John Paul is somewhat apprehensive when Sally St Claire (Annie Wallace) asks him to set up a meeting with James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) to discuss Juliet’s (Niamh Blackshaw) education.
The teacher wants to avoid James for the sake of his relationship with George, but he’s soon rattled when George’s ex Dean Vickers (Paul Sloss) shows up again.
Dean makes it clear he wants so-called ‘soulmate’ George back, and John Paul is concerned about such a thing. Therefore, he proceeds to get drunk with Courtney.
Believing George to be with Dean, John Paul leaves a jealous voicemail on his beau’s phone — one in which he claims to be with James!
The following day, an angered George plays back the drunken voicemail, and John Paul is mortified, but problems persist when Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) later reveals that Dean has set up camp in The Dog carpark, and is refusing to leave until he’s spoken to George.
George confronts his ex and makes it clear that he’s with John Paul now, but when he sets his sights upon John Paul talking to James, he’s left seething.
The copper plays the victim, delivering quite the performance in front of the McQueens, and when he later runs into Dean, he knows exactly what to do in order to get back at John Paul.
Much like he did when he pretended to be dead on New Year’s Eve, George relishes in seeing how his mind games have affected John Paul.
Meanwhile, Dean is heartbroken about being used by George once again, and therefore wastes little time in informing Courtney about his and George’s past — explaining that John Paul will be the policeman’s next victim.
Courtney is shaken by Dean’s comments, and later warns John Paul about what the young man said.
However, little does she know that George overhears, and therefore he thinks quick in order to silence her.
Will George kill Courtney? Just how far will he go in order to keep her quiet?
One to watch: Thursday February 4 at 7pm on E4.
