Strictly’s Katie McGlynn ‘scrambling for time’ amid busy Hollyoaks schedule

Strictly Come Danciing star Katie McGlynn has revealed she has been left 'scrambling for time' to rehearse amid her busy Hollyoaks schedule.

The actress, who joined the Channel 4 soap as Becky Quentin earlier this year, appeared on Thursday's episode of This Morning alongside her professional dance partner, Gorka Márquez.

Asked by host Holly Willoughby if she was enjoying the training period, Katie said: "I am enjoying it.

"Obviously, we've had a hectic schedule this week because I've been filming a lot at Hollyoaks so we've just been scrambling for time.

"But when we have [the time], we've just been prioritising the steps and going through it and having a laugh.

"I think we've got a similar sense of humour."

Gorka added: "I want to give all the time that I can for her.

"To make her feel confident, feel relaxed, not worrying about anything, but obviously [with Katie] being so busy, it's very difficult but she's doing well.

"We're getting there."

He later confirmed that Katie 'has a lot of potential' but 'just needs to put the time in'.
