Strictly’s Katya Jones paired with Paralympian Will Bayley for new series

Strictly dancer Katya Jones is being lined up to partner Paralympics table tennis gold medallist Will Bayley for the next series.

The news comes just days after Katya, 30, and husband Neil, 37, said they had split up but would continue on the BBC show.

Their break-up follows controversy last year when she was spotted snogging dance partner and comedian Seann Walsh, 33.

A source said: “Katya and Will have been put together, they are in early group rehearsals and bosses will be looking out for which couples gel. Quite often the pairings do stick.”

Will, 31, has been in a relationship with actress Fiona York since 2016 and the pair have a child.

Will has arthrogryposis, a condition which affects development of the limbs. He won his gold medal at the 2016 Paralympics.

On Friday, Katya showed that there is no ill-will between her and her husband of six years when she posted a gushing tribute to the flame-haired dancer following news of his solo tour.

Neil revealed he will be touring the UK with 'Gingerland' in 2020 which Katya urged fans to grab tickets for.

Katya wrote how "proud" she was of her ex adding that the show will be "no doubt off the scale" and teased she might help out with costumes.

The pair, who still run a dance studio together,  announced their split earlier this week , just ahead of the BBC dancing competition return.

In a joint statement revealing they were going their separate ways, Katya and Neil said: "We will always love each other, just in a different way as friends.

"This will never change what a great team we make and we are really proud of everything we have achieved together."
