The Masked Singer’s Davina McCall vows to keep exercising ‘well into her 90s’

Davina McCall has claimed she will “never, ever stop” exercising – even when she reaches her 80s and 90s.

The 54-year-old fitness fanatic has been on our screens for years and has made her first share of workout DVDs and books since she first started her career as a TV presenter.

Her most recent fitness launch was back in 2018 with her Power Box and Tone DVD which she hoped would inspire other women to get fit and healthy.

Now, the Masked Singer judge has revealed how she sees herself exercising for the rest of my life in a recent interview with The Sun.

The former Big Brother host told the publication how working out has drastically improved her mental and physical health and hopes to never stop.

She confessed: “Exercising is as much about my mental health as it is about my physical health – and I will never ever stop.

“I plan to still be exercising well into my 80s and 90s,” she added.

It comes after the mum-of-three launched her fitness range in collaboration with JD Williams as she slowly eases her way back into her regular exercise routine after she injured her ankle back in December.

She reassured her loyal legion of fans that “I’m doing things that are very, very low-impact" while she continues to recover.

Speaking to the Independent last year, Davina revealed the little changes she made to lifestyle routine which helped her to achieve her dream body over the years.

One of the first little changes she made to her routine was switching out full-fat milk to semi-skimmed which she admitted “was a big sacrifice for me”.

But her biggest sacrifice to date has been to cut out cheese which she says she still “continues to grieve for.”

She added: “My half-sister and I lived together for a long time and I remember our favourite dinner would be a ‘picky plate’ of assorted meats, cheeses, French bread and tons of butter.

“Now I very rarely eat cheese, other than a sprinkling of parmesan on my pasta or at Christmas time – I definitely see it more as a treat now.”

To stay in shape, the starlet says she makes time to exercise for 30 minutes a day, five times a week.

Davina explained: “Essentially, I look at my body like an engine and it constantly needs fine-tuning to be working at top capacity.”
