This Morning viewers were utterly dumbfounded by the fantastic job Josie Gibson did during Tuesday's (November 16) show after an unexpected illness left Holly Willoughby in need of a last minute stand-in.
Josie, 36, normally presents the ITV daytime show's competitions and is also a roving reporter for small segments around the country.
But when fans tuned in to the latest instalment, they found Phillip Schofield announcing that his usual co-host unfortunately came down with a "tummy bug".
At first, many were sceptical of former Big Brother winner Josie's ability to carry off presenting, particularly when her usual slot involves such hilarious and zany sketches, such as getting stuck in a bin.
But fans ate their words and declared Josie "a breath of fresh air", a "natural" and even called for a "shake up" on the programme.
Some hoped long-time presenter Holly could be replaced by Josie permanently.
Yet others wanted her to take over the Friday slot with Andi Peters instead of Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, who only took it on instead of Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford earlier this year.
Viewers flooded Twitter with their praise for the bubbly blonde star, as many applauded her ability to cope after being "thrown in at the deep end".
“Well done Josie Gibson you were brilliant today need to front the show more often #ThisMorning,” one fan praised.
Another viewer wrote: “@JosieGibsonClub fabulous to see Josie one half of the presenting duo on #ThisMorning. She’s doing a cracking job Feel better soon @hollywills.”
“Think the idea of Josie plus Andy peters one day pw is brilliant cos fridays pairing just isn’t working unfortunately #ThisMorning,” a third person suggested.
While a fourth shared: “#ThisMorning Josie is a bit of a revelation. Poised. Understated. Articulate. Professional. Call me old fashioned but I was expecting enforced lunacy, superfluous repetition and camera hogging – but no!”
“Love Holly but Josie has been amazing today she’s a natural #thismorning,” a fifth added, followed by: “For someone with around an hour’s notice to present her first ever #ThisMorning, I think Josie Gibson did a wonderful job. “Natural. Confident. Likeable. Again please! @Josiestweet."
While another declared the TV star was "wasted" in her role doing competitions and other reporting and it was time for a "shake up" in the studio.
Monday's instalment saw a hilarious moment unfold when guest Miriam Margolyes accidentally farted just before the show went live following a break.
Phillip, 59, couldn't contain himself as he laughed hysterically and explained to viewers what had happened.
"You outed me," the Harry Potter actress complained, as Phil joked she'd "outed" herself.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
