This Morning viewers have been left gobsmacked as a prosthetic penis maker left one of his X-rated props in the background as he came on to talk to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on Monday 16 May.

Matthew Mungle appeared on the popular ITV programme to talk about his incredible talent of making props for Hollywood's most famous faces, including the likes of Chris Hemsworth.

He said "they wanted to have a bigger penis" for Chris, 38, for the scene of him just in his pants in the 2015 film Vacation, when Phillip, 60, interrupted to say: "If you're going to do it with a prosthetic, I'd want a proper shlong," as Holly, 41, covered her mouth in laughter.

“You bet! I mean, that's usually what they want, a bigger shlong, maybe bigger testicles too," Matthew continued.

Holly, who recently posed with her lookalike sister Kelly as she wished her a happy birthday, then questioned: "Well that's quite the wish list. He was quite happy with that, wasn't he? Because he took it home?" leaving Phillip laughing this time.

"Oh yes, production gave it to him in a shadow box and he put it on his mantelpiece with his Thor hammer. So he's got both hammers together," Matthew responded.

While the trio continued to talk about the art of making prosthetics for the A-list stars, fans of the programme flocked to Twitter to share their shock at seeing one of Matthew's fake penises on a shelf behind him.

"I’ve just noticed he’s got a penis behind him #ThisMorning," one person wrote with a crying with laughter emoji.

Another questioned: "Surely they know there is a massive penis in the background #ThisMorning," as a third zoomed into the prop behind Matthew and quizzed: "That's a funny penis!? #ThisMorning".

Meanwhile, another This Morning fan shared: "Odd juxtaposition of an erect penis in front of what appears to be Michael Jackson's face #ThisMorning".

And another couldn't help but notice the late Thriller hitmaker's face in the background too as they shared: "Does he really have a penis in front of micheal Jackson's face #thismorning".

Later on in the show, Holly wanted to know how much they ask, but swiftly added: "Not that I want one!"

But Phillip, who recently shared a fun selfie with Tom Cruise at The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration, couldn't help but use this as an opportunity to poke fun at Holly as he questioned: "Do you want one? I'll get you one for Christmas!”

Matthew shared that the prosthetic penises can cost up to £2,041 if they're moulded from scratch, to which Phillip replied: "Well we're all going to have to club together to get you one because they're quite expensive.”
