Thom Yorke Premieres Original ‘Suspiria’ Music: Listen to Radiohead Frontman’s Film Score Debut

Jonny Greenwood made a successful leap from “Radiohead” band member to beloved film composer by creating the scores to “There Will Be Blood,” “The Master,” and more, and now it’s Thom York’s turn to do the same with “Suspiria.” Following the world premiere of Luca Guadagnino’s horror film at the Venice Film Festival, York has announced his original “Suspiria” score will be released as an album on October 26. The “Radiohead” frontman marked the occasion by debuting an original song from the soundtrack.

“Suspiria” is Guadagnino’s polarizing reimagining of Dario Argento’s 1977 horror film of the same name. The original movie famously featured an electronic score by Goblin, but Yorke’s original music is a drastic departure, much like Guadagnino’s film as a whole. “Suspiria” marks York’s film composer debut. The first track Yorke debuted below is heard over the “Suspiria” end credits.

Amazon will open “Suspiria” in select New York and Los Angeles theaters on October 26 before a nationwide rollout November 2. Listen to York’s original music below.
