The Saturdays singer said Ben, 33, "loved it" when she took time off as she was "cooking him lots of meals".
Mum-of-two Una, 36, married rubgy player Ben in 2012.
Speaking before their split she said: "I got into it and would go out and buy lovely ingredients.
“I would make a different meal every day. He eats everything I put in front of him.”
The Sun’s Dan Wootton revealed last week how Una dumped husband of six years Ben after finding out he’d allegedly spent the night with PR girl Becky Milne, 26, in 2015.
The pair are said to have hooked up after a ‘very drunk’ night out and the story got back to wife Una.
Una has now moved back to Ireland with daughter Aiofe, 6, and Tadhg, three.
The family were planning to move to the US, where Ben is to play for a team in New York after ending his career with Premiership side Northampton.
