Emotional Caroline Flack was keen to gift the Islanders with her own pearls of wisdom following her own toxic experience.
This evening during the Love Island final, Laura Anderson and Paul Knops reached the final two.
But speaking to the pair, Caroline made a reference to them "falling in love", but Laura was quick to point that they weren’t in love yet.
Paul agreed as Laura joked that Caroline was like her dad, who had pestered Paul by asking him when he was going to ask his daughter out.
But Caroline also wisely warned them: "Don’t rush into anything."
Earlier, fans of the ITV2 show were feeling for Caroline as she appeared "close to tears" during the live final.
The 38-year-old host began the Love Island engaged to Andrew Brady, who she has since split with.
And tonight, viewers were fearing that the presenter was about to cry as she referred to "break-ups" this evening.
Wearing a gold halterneck dress, the presenter looked stunning as she introduced a look back at the series.
However her eyes noticeably watered and voice wavered over the word "break-ups".
Fans flocked to Twitter to voice their concerns.
One tweeted: "Na Caroline looks like she’s gonna break down."
While another commented: "Is it just me or did Caroline sound like she was about to cry then??#LoveIsland."
A third remarked: "Literally feel so sorry for Caroline right now #loveisland."

One tweeted: "Oh Caroline, keep calm and carry on he most certainly isn’t worth your tears… #loveisland."
It’s been an incredibly difficult time for Caroline, whose ex had a meeting with Celebs Go Dating just ONE DAY after the pair split.
It came after 38-year-old Caroline – who was still wearing her engagement ring on Tuesday – insisted they wished each other well in response to a report claiming she broke up with him over ‘cheating’ fears and suspicions he was using her.
Tonight, it was finally the end of the road for the Islanders as they enjoyed one last night in the villa.
Eight weeks of recouplings, dumpings and sordid romps, only four couples remained.
Wes and Megan, Jack and Dani, Paul and Laura and Josh and Kaz made the most of their final day with a salsa class.
Later the tears flowed as each of the couples read out their speeches for each other after the champagne popped at the Summer Ball.

While Megan told Wes that she had "never felt this way about someone before", while Wes told her that he was "madly in love" with her.
Dani told Jack: "Jack, when I first entered the villa eight weeks ago, I never imagined that in a million years I would have met someone as special as you. From our first date together on the beach, to our trip in a hot air balloon, we have already made so many special memories, and I can’t wait for even more.
"I have had the Summer of my life in here and I owe so much of that to you Jack.”
