THE controversy surrounding Noel Clarke rages on, and EastEnders' James Alexandrou is the latest to weigh in on the discussion.

Who is EastEnders' James Alexandrou?

James Alexandrou is a British actor.

He is known for playing Martin Fowler on BBC soap EastEnders from 1996 to 2007 

James made a brief comeback to the show in 2014.

Since his EastEnders days, the 36-year-old has taken on several acting roles, including minor parts in Casualty and Silent Witness.

James is also the presenter of Bizarre Crime on BBC Three.

He has also impressed audience with his theatrical accomplishments, including when he played Romeo in the Globe Theatre’s production of Romeo and Juliet.

What has James Alexandrou accused Noel Clarke of?

James wrote message to his 9,540 Twitter followers following the allegations surrounding Mr Clarke.

Alexandrou spoke out after it was alleged Clarke sexually harassed, groped and bullied women.

James wrote on Twitter: "Noel Clarke had too many of scared us for too long.

"I genuinely feel ashamed I didn’t do more to stand up for friends of mine he hurt.

"Innocent until proven guilty, but this was long overdue."

His comments came after The Guardian reported allegations from 20 women against the married actor relate to a period between 2004 and 2019.

He has been accused of a range of acts, including sharing sexually explicit pictures and videos without consent.

Following the initial revelations, Noel Clarke said: "I vehemently deny any sexual misconduct or criminal wrongdoing.

"Recent reports however have made it clear to me that some of my actions have affected people in ways I did not intend or realise.

"To those individuals, I am deeply sorry. I will be seeking professional help to educate myself and change for the better."
