CHANNEL 5's latest thriller Intruder is set to be four episodes worth of drama featuring a number of established names from British television.
The series is centred around a dinner party that goes wrong for young couple Rebecca and Sam, after their coastal mansion is burgled by two intruders – but only one leaves the premises alive.
Who is Elaine Cassidy?
Cassidy has appeared in a number of starring roles in multiple series', including dramas such as horror-thriller Harper’s Island, police corruption drama The Ghost Squad, BBC One’s The Paradise and Channel 4’s No Offence.
As well as appearing in a number of television shows, Cassidy also features in the music video for Coldplay's smash-hit 'The Scientist'.
Her acting career has spanned over the course of 27 years, in which the 41-year-old Irish actress has played roles in both the U.K. and the U.S., including CBS series Harper's Island.

In Intruder, Cassidy takes on the role of Rebecca, a journalist at a local newspaper called the Becksfield Gazette.
She is also one half of the series' main couple, alongside her husband Sam.
After Rebecca's life is turned upside down as a result of the dinner party debacle, she is forced to fight for everything she has.
Is Elaine Cassidy married?
Cassidy has been married to fellow actor Stephen Lord since December 2007.
The pair met while filming the 2006 dark comic murder-mystery The Truth.
Lord is best known to British viewers for his role as Jase Dyer in BBC soap EastEnders between 2007 and 2008, as well as his character Dominic Meak in Channel 4 comedy Shameless in 2012.
The married couple live in Greenwich, London.
