Maris Iepure is married to Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse and has appeared on the popular BBC show himself.
The Romanian dancer tied the knot with the South African beauty in 2014 but what else do we know about the German champion…
Who is Marius Iepure?
Marius, born August 31, 1982, is a 36-year-old dancer from Romania, who has been dancing since the age of 12.
In 2014 and 2015 Marius participated in the show Let's Dance.
He is the husband of Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse who is also his professional dance partner.
The couple do not have any children but have spoken about starting a family one day.
In 2017 he appeared as a backing dancer on the BBC One show.
Is Marius Iepure replacing Brendan Cole on Strictly Come Dancing?
The Sun revealed how Marius has been tipped to replace axed Brendan Cole.
Bosses think he will add extra eye candy to the show's ranks and his experience behind the scenes means he should fit straight in.
An insider told The Sun Online: "Marius was involved in Strictly last year as a backing dancer and has proved very popular with both the other dancers and production staff alike."
A spokesman for the show declined to comment.
Who is Marius' wife Oti Mabuse?
Oti Mabuse is a 29-year-old professional dancer who works on the BBC series Strictly Come Dancing.
She was born in Pretoria, South Africa and unlike many of the Strictly family, Oti did not start her path to professional dancing from a young age.
Oti studied civil engineering at university before embarking on a career in professional dancing, following in the footsteps of her sister Motsi – nine years her senior – who is a professional ballroom dancer.
Since the start of her professional career, Oti has earned various awards including first place in the German Championship Freestyle Latin competition.
She joined the show in 2015 for its thirteenth series and was partnered with boxer Anthony Ogogo but unfortunately did not make it past week three.
