You season 2: ‘It’s not fun’ Henderson actor opens up on filming Netflix series

The second season of You saw plenty of new faces enter the life of murderous sociopath Joe Goldberg (played by Penn Badgley) as he started a new life in Los Angeles, USA. Joining the likes of fellow newcomers Delilah (Carmela Zumbado) and Ellie (Jenna Ortega) was shady stand-up comic Henderson (Chris D’Elia), a popular socialite with a dark secret. Speaking on The Fighter and the Kid podcast, D’Elia opened up on his time on the Netflix series.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from You season 2.

Henderson was introduced in the second episode of You season two as Joe waited for his baggage at the airport.

Described as “LA in a nutshell,” Henderson was clearly a successful yet humble comedian.

However, as the series progressed, Hendy’s humility and kindness wore off as Delilah exposed his history of sexual assault on vulnerable young girls.

Henderson’s story eventually came to an end as Joe sought vengeance for Delilah while simultaneously protecting Ellie.

Speaking with fellow stand-up comedian Bryan Callen on the TFATK podcast, D’Elia said: “I’m on that show You coming up which is a f***** big hit and I really wanted to do it,

“I really liked the show, I saw the first season of You and it’s great.”

He added: “It’s a f****** good show and I’m in a few episodes from the new season.

“(But) I just realised that a lot of the time – first of all, it’s a drama, so saying you’re having fun onset is not necessarily the right word.

“I’m a guest, so I don’t know the guys, they already know all each other and s***. It was an experience and I liked doing it, I’m glad I did it,

“But fun’s the wrong word, right? If you’re not doing a comedy, it’s not fun.”
