Thirty-one bricks of cocaine — valued at $1.2 million — washed ashore on an Alabama beach late Monday night, reports said.
The drugs, roughly 66 pounds of them, were spotted by several beachgoers in Gulf Shores, who alerted police to their finds, WALA reported.
Police confiscated the cocaine and handed the haul over to US Customs, WPMI reported.
Since the discoveries, police have ramped up patrol on the beaches, the outlet reported.
