Adele ‘strips back her rescheduled Las Vegas residency to connect more with fans via intimate shows’ – as the delayed production FINALLY goes ahead next month

Adele is reportedly stripping back her rescheduled Las Vegas residency to connect more with her fans.

The Someone Like You songstress, 34, wants to make the shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace ‘intimate’ and plans to mingle with fans amid the singing, according to The Sun.

The singer announced the new dates in July, months after leaving fans thousands of pounds out of pocket when she pulled the plug on her shows with just 24 hours notice in January.

Intimate: Adele is reportedly stripping back her rescheduled Las Vegas residency to connect more with her fans

And now she is reportedly reducing her orchestra, singer choir and backing singers while still putting together a show-stopping production.

A source told the publication: ‘Adele has revised her plan for the show has stripped it back. The production will be very classy, the show is centred on her energy and vocals.

‘The January shows had room for a significant orchestra and band along with a 60 piece choir. The feel was big, grand and immensely theatrical.

‘Now she wants it to be more intimate and to connect to the audience by being in with them during the performance.’

The insider added that the production still features ‘dazzling events and stunning backdrops’.

Representatives for Adele have been contacted by MailOnline for comment.

The singer has been jetting back and forth between the LA home she shares with Rich Paul and Las Vegas, where she will begin her rescheduled residency – Weekends With Adele – in November this year.

The singer announced the new dates in July, months after leaving fans thousands of pounds out of pocket when she pulled the plug on her shows with just 24 hours notice.

Adele had been set to open her Weekends with Adele show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace back in January but cancelled at the very last minute, leaving fans devastated over wasted money on flights and hotels.

After rescheduled dates for the gig were leaked, the singer took to Instagram in July to confirm the show will start in November as she thanked fans for their ‘patience’ and revealed that priority will be given to existing ticket holders.

Alongside a show poster she penned: ‘Words can’t explain how ecstatic I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled shows. I truly was heartbroken to have to cancel them.

‘But after what feels like an eternity of figuring out logistics for the show that I really want to deliver, and knowing it can happen, I’m more excited than ever!

‘Now I know for some of you it was a horrible decision on my part, and I will always be sorry for that, but I promise you it was the right one.

‘To be with you in such an intimate space every week has been what I’ve most been looking forward to and I’m going to give you the absolute best of me.

‘Thank you for your patience!’: Adele finally announced her rescheduled Las Vegas dates in July as she stood by her ‘horrible’ decision to cancel the shows last-minute

‘Thank you for your patience, I love you ♥️ Adele.’

The new dates come after it was reported that the Easy On Me hitmaker had been motivated to ‘push forward’ with rescheduling her Sin City shows after returning to the stage for two sell-out gigs at Hyde Park in London at the beginning of July.

A source told The Sun: ‘Adele loved performing in London and it gave her the drive to push forward with her Vegas residency.

‘An announcement is coming in the next few weeks. Management have asked for a celebration to promote her return.’

Back in January, the Grammy Award winning songstress wept as she explained to fans that she had ‘tried everything’ to get her show up and running but Covid had ‘destroyed’ everything.

She said in a video shared to her social media channels: ‘I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready.

‘We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid.

‘Half my crew and team are [ill] with Covid and still are, and it’s been impossible.’

‘Mortified’: In January the hitmaker’s highly-anticipated Las Vegas residency was canceled just 24 hours before she was set to hit the stage at Caesar’s Palace
