Budget retailer Poundland has closed nine stores so far this year with two more set to follow within weeks.
The retailer, which was founded in Burton-on-Trent in 1990, had more than 850 stores across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
But the company has been forced to consolidate several of its smaller stores and has had to close others.
On Friday, Poundland will close its store in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, while its outlet in Cumbernault, North Lanarkshire will shut on June 11.

Between February 28 and May 25, stores in Walkden, Southport, Ipswich, Openshaw, Epsom, Swadlincote, Dewsbury, Stoke and Gateshead had closed.
In a number of cases, the firm has forced to close stores because their lease was expiring and the landlord was not willing to renew.
Last month, almost 20 high street restaurants from The Restaurant Group (THG) closed for the last time.
The firm with owns Wagamama, Frankie & Benny’s and Chiquito is to close 35 outlets over the next two years.
Even budget pub chain Wetherspoons is closing more than a dozen of its outlets as a result of continuing soaring inflation rates.
