A three-year-old boy was found crying and alone after he was able to wander out of his east London nursery all on his own.

He walked out of the Lloyd Park Children’s Centre and into a park next door where he was found half an hour later in tears.

A stranger then took him to park rangers who looked after him until the police arrived and picked him up before reuniting him with his mother.
Grow Wild nursery has been suspended by Ofsted.
The young boy’s mother, who wished to remain anonymous, told MyLondon: ‘I really hope they’ll learn from their mistake because it should be all about the safety of the children there and I was trusting them to look after my son and keep him safe.
‘[The police] told me my son managed to get out of the nursery because the gate wasn’t locked and they found him in the sandpit playing by himself.

‘He was missing for at least half an hour without anyone knowing. They never realised he was missing until police brought him back to them.
‘I heard another mum saying that this happened before and she won’t bring her child back to this nursery again.’
A police spokesman confirmed they were called to the park at roughly 11am to pick up an unaccompanied child but that no criminal offences were established.
