Cops on Wednesday busted a Brooklyn man accused of setting a string of small fires across Manhattan, law enforcement sources said.
Jamaal Deese, a 24-year-old Windsor Terrace resident, was caught as he was trying to light another fire – at a McDonald’s near West 15th Street and Sixth Avenue, sources said.
He will be charged with multiple counts of arson in federal court, law enforcement sources said.
Deese is believed to have set at least 10 fires at apartment buildings and fast-food restaurants since Sunday.
He hit one Five Guys location, near West 14th Street and Sixth Avenue, twice – on Monday and Tuesday, law enforcement sources said.
Other targets of the suspected arsonist include a Hummus & Pita on Eighth Avenue and West 40th Street, a Famous Famiglia Pizza on Eighth Avenue and West 34th Street, and apartments buildings at 30 West 15th St. and 31 West 16th St., officials said.
