Police rescuers fished a man and woman out of the East River on Thursday morning, saving them both, authorities said.

First responders were called around 5:45 a.m. to the Manhattan side of the river near Pier 36.

The man was pulled from the water before the woman, who was rescued more than 30 minutes later, police said.

She was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. Both victims are believed to be in their 20s.
