Cops searching for missing teenager Jack Gillespie, 17, find body | The Sun

A BODY has been found in the search for missing teen Jack Gillespie, cops confirmed.

Jack, 17, was last seen in the early hours of yesterday morning in Worth Matravers, Dorset.

The body was discovered nearby at around 9.15pm that night.

Investigators said that, while formal identification has not yet taken place, Jack's family have been informed of the development in the case.

They added that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Officers carrying out searches for a missing teenager in Purbeck have very sadly found a body.

"Searches were carried out with support from the coastguard and Dorset Search and Rescue (DorSAR).

"While formal identification has yet to take place, Jack’s family has been informed.

"We would like to thank all those who assisted with the searches and our thoughts are with Jack’s family and loved ones at this extremely difficult time."
