The Russian MMA fighter dubbed “Popeye” because of his enormous biceps has been training for his next battle with another fighter known as the “Russian Hulk.”
Kirill Tereshin, 23, posted video of himself doing push-ups as the Russian Hulk — 18-year-old Tamaev Asxab — counted along with him.
The clip was filmed in Moscow and uploaded to his Instagram account Tuesday.
In October, Tereshin’s biceps didn’t hold up in the ring, as he was handily defeated in his first MMA fight by an opponent 20 years his senior.
Tereshin, a former Russian soldier, developed his cartoon-like biceps by injecting his muscles with dangerous synthol.
Dr. Yuriy Serebryanskiny told the Sun newspaper in the UK that Tereshin could potentially lose his arms because of the oil he injected into himself.
“He could lose movement in his arms, the muscles could turn into ballast that he won’t be able to use to lift things. He could end up disabled,” Serebryanskiny said.
