FADI Fawaz has lashed out over claims he was a 'leech' on singer George Michael before his tragic death on Christmas Day.
The hairdresser, 40, also says police officers who have questioned him over the mysterious death have been "amazing", have not accused him of anything and have supported him through his heartbreak.
"We were very much in love, very much together," he told Daily Mail. "Why would I be there [in Goring-on-Thames] if we weren’t together? I was there the last day of his life."
Yesterday, it was reported Mr Fawaz will again be questioned again by police, who have already taken a statement from a photographer who took pictures of Fadi going in and out of the performer's house the dat before he died.
However, George’s friends, who claim Fadi is a “leech” and actually split from George in 2015, have raised questions about the singer’s final hours
Fadi later revealed that he slept in his car on the night of the star’s death, and didn’t spend the whole weekend at his house, as initially claimed.
As well as dating George, Fadi was said to have been scarred by the death of another close celebrity pal – Boyzone star Stephen Gately, whose heart stopped beating due to sudden adult death syndrome in 2009.
Yesterday the Careless Whisper’s 80s chart co-star Marilyn called for “justice” over his death.
The singer, 54, who sang with George on the original Band Aid record in 1984, called for a full probe.
He took to social media yesterday to voice his frustration at delays in official confirmation of the circumstances in which the Wham! icon passed away on Christmas Day.
He tweeted: “I hope they do an investigation into George Michael’s death. Something stinks. The facts of his last hours need airing. ‘Heart attack’? Hmmm.
“Who is involved, why did he die.”
Marilyn, real name Peter Robinson, added: “What are the facts, who is involved, why did he die.
“This campaign needs ramping up several notches. Answers please, authorities.”
His plea comes as it emerges police inquiries into the late star’s final hours are ongoing with multiple witnesses and potential witnesses being approached for information as officers compile a file for the Oxfordshire coroner.

George’s representatives initially cited heart failure as the cause of his death — and have denied reports that he had been using heroin in the final year of his life, leading to several emergency hospital visits.
