A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital after reportedly setting himself on fire at a petrol station.
He is believed to have suffered burns across 90 percent of his body during the forecourt horror on Monday night.
Emergency services charged to a Tesco petrol station in Blackley, Manchester, at 7.35pm following the incident.
A "burnt out suitcase" and burnt shoe were spotted at the scene, as were two fire extinguishers and a large empty bottle.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 7.35pm, officers were called to reports for the concern of the welfare of a man on Victoria Avenue East, Manchester.

"A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said last night: "At 7.30pm this evening, firefighters were called to a supermarket on Victoria Avenue, Manchester.
"Two fire engines from Philips Park and Whitefield fire stations arrived quickly at the scene.
