Man killed after being struck by two cars in hit-and-run

A 28-year-old man was killed when he was struck by two cars — one of which fled the scene — in the Bronx.

Gabriel Garcia was trying to cross the street near E. 138th St. near Walton Ave. when a dark colored livery cab plowed into him around 10:30 p.m. on Monday.

As he was lying on the road, a second car, described as a Toyota Camry, ran over him.

Both cars initially stopped, but the livery cab driver eventually drove off.

The driver of the Toyota briefly left the scene before quickly returning to speak with responding officers.

No arrests have been made and police are still looking for the livery driver.
