Married At First Sight's Luke encouraged Bob to quit in unaired scenes

Married At First Sight UK’s Luke has revealed he pushed Bob to quit the E4 dating series in scenes that didn’t make it to air.

Bob decided to leave the experiment along with his wife Megan in scenes that aired earlier this week as they decided they were better suited as friends.

Their exit came as they struggled to form a romantic connection after meeting for the first time at the altar, with Megan cheating on her husband at the first dinner with Jordon.

Luke has since shared that he spoke with his good friend Bob and nudged him to give up the chase.

‘There were conversations on and off camera and it was like, you need to go now,’ Luke shared in an exclusive chat with Metro.co.uk.

‘I was really close to him on the show and I had separate conversations with him.

‘I told him, “Think about your decision now because I don’t want to see you getting hurt. You’ve got the homestays coming up and the final vows, you’ve done your job pal and it’s not there”.’

Luke added that he encouraged Bob to go out on a high.

‘It was tough love,’ he admitted. ‘It just didn’t work out for those relationships, but it was time.’

Luke became a shoulder to lean on for many of his fellow Married At First Sight UK co-stars over the course of filming.

‘I kind of become the go-to guy that everyone comes to for advice, self-esteem issues, and relationship advice,’ he said.

It wasn’t just Luke and Bob’s heart-to-heart that didn’t make it to air though, as he revealed a lot of the ‘good bits’ from his and Morag’s relationship were also left out.

Married At First Sight UK airs Mondays to Thursdays at 9pm on E4.
