Masked men threaten servo worker with gun and knife to steal vapes

Two masked thieves have made off with a stash of cigarettes and vapes after jumping over a service station counter and threatening a worker with a large knife and gun.

Victoria Police said the men entered the service station on Ballarat Road in Maidstone, west Melbourne, at about 10.10pm last Wednesday.

CCTV footage shows one of the men – wearing an orange high-visibility jacket and a motorbike helmet – rushing toward the worker and jumping over the counter while swinging a large kitchen knife.

While he cornered the worker, a second man – wearing a yellow high-visibility jumper with the hood pulled over his face – also jumped the counter and pointed a handgun at the worker.

The men then started raiding the store’s cigarette and vape supply all while the man in orange continued to point his knife menacingly at the store worker.

Both the offenders then jumped back over the counter and fled from the service station with the whole robbery lasting less than a minute.

The man in yellow, who carried the gun, is described as being of Caucasian appearance and about 20 to 25 years old.

The second male, who carried the large kitchen knife, is also described as being of Caucasian appearance and about 20 to 25 years old.
