Apartments have gone on sale in the grounds of an iconic London building where Queen played one of their first ever concerts and a range of TV and film productions including The Crown and Bohemian Rhapsody were filmed.
The new owners will live alongside Hornsey Town Hall in Crouch End, North London, which has appeared in a string of movies and shows including Killing Eve, Whitechapel, EastEnders and Silent Witness.
Queen performed one of their first ever gigs there on February 19, 1971 as a support act for a concert headlined by Pretty Things and The Pink Fairies. At the time they were still known as ‘The Queen’ and tickets cost just 50p.
Nearly half a century later, part of the 2018 film Bohemian Rhapsody starring Rami Malek was made there – and the building has also been used in recent decades in Criminal Justice, The Hour, Spooks and 10 Days to War.
The one-bedroom flats on the site, which are part of the Help to Buy scheme, start at £505,950 – with prices rising to £795,000 for an apartment with two bedrooms, bathrooms and two balconies.
