Spring appears to have sprung early in the Big Apple — for a few days, at least.

Throngs of sun-loving New Yorkers took advantage of the unseasonable 60-plus degree temperatures Tuesday – the warmest day of 2021 so far — by enjoying the outdoors in city parks.

“Oh my God, I’ve been waiting for a day like today for so long. We are not living in an ideal world right now, but today gives me a little bit of normalcy because I can come out here and watch people doing the same thing I’m doing,” Olivia Davis, 22, of Harlem said as she sat in Central Park.

“I just had my lunch and am sitting here, relaxing and listening to music and enjoying the warm weather,” added Davis, an artist. “Today is my kind of day.”

The mercury soared up to 64 degrees Tuesday — “well above” the normal high temperature of 47 degrees for March 9, AccuWeather senior meteorologist Dave Dombeck told The Post.

Tuesday also marked the warmest day in the city since Christmas Day, when the temperature hit 61 degrees. It’s not record-breaking, though. The record high for temperature on this date for Gotham was set at 77 degrees in 2016, Dombeck said.

Temperatures are predicted to drop into the 50s Wednesday before jumping up to a high of 68 degrees on Thursday and a high of 66 degrees on Friday.

Unfortunately, forecasts show temperatures dropping back into the high 40s on Saturday and Sunday.

“People get a case of spring fever and then you get a reality check…a cold slap in the face,” said Dombeck.

“Spring is three steps up and two steps back,” said Dombeck. “Eventually you get there, but it’s not a nice, even, smooth climb up out from winter to summer.”

Ann Kleiman, an 86-year-old retired teacher who said she recently got both shots of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine, was out in Central park enjoying the warmth before it disappears again.

“I couldn’t stay home. I had to come out and enjoy this beautiful weather. You can’t waste a day like this,” Kleiman said. “When you are 86 years old, you know everything has to be enjoyed for the moment.”

Melisa Bonetti, 31, an opera singer from Queens, was also among those soaking up the sun.

“It’s nice to see people in real life instead of on the screen,” said Bonetti. “I’m happy the sun is out because we are all deficient in vitamin D because the [coronavirus pandemic] and the storms kept us indoors. Cabin fever has been setting in.”

Meanwhile, at Astoria Park in Queens, Jillian and Fabiyan Pembelski laid out with their 8-month-old baby.

“This feels like the beginning of something better,” Jillian, 37, said of the weather.

George Patrikis, the owner of the nearby Ditmars Flowers and Gifts shop, declared, “Spring is in the air.”

“We live for this weather,” Patrikis said.
