Paris Hilton’s Netflix series Cooking With Paris canceled by the streaming service after just one season

Paris Hilton’s TV series Cooking With Paris has been canceled by Netflix after just one season on the streaming service.

The show debuted in August featuring the 40-year-old socialite making a variety of recipes with celebrity friends such as Kim Kardashian, Nikki Glaser, Demi Lovato, Saweetie, Lele Pons, and mother Kathy and sister Nicky Hilton.

Paris hasn’t responded publicly to the news yet, which was first reported by Deadline on Monday afternoon.

The series was inspired by Hilton’s viral video that launched on her YouTube channel in mid-January 2020.

The 15-minute video, where Hilton cooked lasagna for her 1.15 million subscribers, has amassed over 5.4 million views to date.

The Netflix series was first announced in July 2021, said to put a unique spin on traditional cooking shows, since Hilton isn’t a trained cook or chef by trade.

The official description for the six-episode series revealed Hilton was learning to embrace her, ‘very newly domesticated side.’

The show follows her as she, ‘learns to sauté, sear and zest,’ while displaying her, ‘culinary expertise (or lack thereof), glam kitchen wardrobe and party-throwing skills with some of her fab celeb friends.’

Hilton served as an executive producer with Aaron Saidman, Eli Holzman and Rebecca Hertz, with the series produced by The Intellectual Property Corporation, an Industrial Media company.

While Netflix didn’t release any specific viewership data for the show, it did briefly crack the streaming service’s daily Top 10 rankings.

Earlier in 2021 Hilton launched her own production company, Slivington Manor Entertainment, and signed an overall deal at Warner Bros.

She also has her reality series Paris in Love on the Peacock streaming service, which follows the run-up to her extravagant wedding with Carter Reum in November.

She has also been chronicling her whirlwind honeymoon with a new series on her YouTube channel dubbed My Dream Honeymoon.

Each episode features Hilton and Reum in a different exotic locale, including Bora Bora, Anguilla, London and Dubai.

It’s unclear if Hilton and the producers plan on shopping Cooking With Paris to other networks or streaming services after the Netflix cancellation.
