Police are investigating after a man in his 70s was found dead in a derelict fairground.
It is thought the elderly man had plummeted from the clifftop that overlooks Pleasurama.
The funfair in Ramsgate, Kent dates back to 1863 but it has been derelict since 1998 when it was struck by fire.
Since then there has been almost no progress on the site with several plans falling through and it was also subject to a Compulsory Purchase Order by Thanet District Council.
Kent Police were called to the former funfair in Ramsgate, Kent, at 9.45am on Monday after reports of a man falling from a cliff.
A police spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the person and the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained."
The man is yet to be named.
Firefighters and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene which officers previously described as a ‘medical incident.’
