Prince Philip was looking fit and well while enjoying the run of the Balmoral estate during his summer break yesterday.
The 97-year-old – who’s retired from official royal duties – was spotted driving near Loch Muick on the grounds and managed to shift a large gate – with the help of a passing member of the public.
The Queen’s husband appears to be back to full health, months after hip surgery.
It is understood Prince Philip has been enjoying fishing in the River Dee during his summer stay at Balmoral .
He has also been deer stalking and reportedly enjoying picnics and barbecues in the grounds.
Philip joined The Queen , 92, at a church service in Balmoral earlier this month in their first public outing since June
The Duke of Edinburgh surprised his wife and other family members with the rare public appearance at Crathie Kirk church on August 19.
He was snapped in the back of The Queen’s royal Bentley for the short journey from their residence to the historic church in the large estate in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Prince Philip had his hip replacement in King Edward VII Hospital in London earlier this year.
He retired aged 96 last year, having carried out more than 22,000 public engagements.
It made Prince Philip one of the busiest Royals.
