Rebekah Vardy is packing her bags ready to escape her holiday home after it was caught in the midst of Portugal’s bush fires.

The former I’m a Celeb star, 40, has reportedly been left shaken by the sight of flames from the balcony of her luxury villa, where she and her five children are staying this summer.

Water supplies have been cut off and Vardy – whose footballer husband Jamie is back in the UK for pre-season training with Leicester City – is constantly monitoring the development of the wildfires.

A source close to the family told the Sun: ‘It’s been horrifying. Their neighbours have all been evacuated and one by one residents are being told to leave their homes.

Portugal has been hit by a series of blazes in recent days, with some encroaching on the exclusive neighbourhood of Quinta do Lago where properties sell for between £1million and £9.5million, home to stars including Roman Abramovich, Duncan Bannatyne, John Terry and Steven Gerrard.

Former Dragons Den star Bannatyne, 73, revealed he and his wife Nigora, 42, had to flee from his mansion amid the blaze.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote: ‘Terrible day in the Algarve today. We have survived but it was a bit scary. Yes. We had to leave our homes today but luckily very few properties were damaged.’
