Rep Jim Clyburn shockingly compares Trump to HITLER and says he’ll try to hold onto power

Representative James Clyburn has shockingly compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler and believes the President will try to maintain his power.

During a Sunday morning interview on CNN's State of the Union, Clyburn likened Donald Trump to noted dictators – Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I feel very strongly that Trump is Mussolini, Putin and Hitler," the South Carolina Rep said. "I don’t think he plans to leave the White House."

Clyburn added: "He doesn’t plan to have fair and unfettered elections.

"I believe that he plans to install himself in some kind of emergency way to hold onto the office"

The House Majority Whip said he firmly believes that Trump "has taken on strongarm tactics."

His comments followed a PBS interview released Friday – where Clyburn also equated Trump to Hitler, leader of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

"I have been saying now for about three years that this president doesn't plan to have an election. He's not planning to give up the office," Clyburn said.

"He thinks that the American people will be duped by him, like the people of Germany was duped by Adolf Hitler.

Despite Clyburn's staggering statements, not everyone feels negatively towards Trump.

Barack Obama’s half-brother has called the former US president a “snob” — and is urging Americans to vote to reelect President Donald Trump.

Malik Obama, 62, told the New York Post in an interview published on Saturday that he believes his estranged half-brother, the 44th president, “got rich and became a snob.”

Trump has also agreed to a $2.1billion deal for 100 million doses of a coronavirus vaccine with pharma giants GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi.

On Thursday morning, Trump reasoned on Twitter that pushing back the upcoming presidential election would be safer and more secure for American voters.

However, Dems and Republicans have had a rare bipartisan moment in rejecting Donald Trump's election delay suggestion.

Trump wrote: "With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history.

"It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???"

However, Trump does not have the power to change the election date.

Only Congress can change the date for the general election by law as they are granted authority by the Constitution.

Polls last week showed Trump was trailing former Vice President Joe Biden in several battleground states.

Democrat Joe Biden has taken the lead in most polls – but so did Hillary Clinton in 2016 before Donald Trump swept to victory and into the White House.

Trump – the 45th president of the United States – has insisted that if Biden is elected president, he will destroy the “American Dream.”

But if he’s re-elected, Trump said he “will preserve it, and make it even better!”
