Sex-crazed serial killer who chopped off his victims’ breasts and cooked them pulled out a severed boob from his pocket when police arrested him – The Sun

WAYNE Ford pulled a severed breast covered in blood from his jacket pocket as the police officer retched and turned away.

It was one of many that truck driver Ford had cut from his female victims in a year-long cold-blooded murder spree that claimed the lives of three women and saw three more raped and tortured.

Ford would pick up women in his truck, then rape, mutilate, and murder them, disposing of their bodies in nearby aqueducts after removing their breasts.

His brutal obsession with breasts started when he asked his wife to let him poke her nipples with safety pins – and saw him cook the breasts of one victim and store them in a coffee jar.

Claiming the torture of women was for their “pleasure”, Wayne would burn and beat his victims, strangling and then resuscitating them using CPR multiple times until he could no longer revive them.

The story of his brutal murders is told in this week’s episode of I Lived with a Killer, which includes new interview with his older brother Rodney, who eventually turned his own brother in after he confessed his crimes.

Biting breasts in the street

His dark and twisted streak first came to light shortly after his marriage to first wife, Kelly, in 1981.

Soon after their wedding, Ford started to exhibit darker sexual behaviours, forcing Kelly to engage in S&M activities and tying her up in agonising positions.

He wanted Kelly to wear a sheet over her entire body with just her breasts exposed, and proposed making wax models of them.

After telling her therapist about her husband’s violent sexual behaviour, terrified Kelly asked for a divorce.

Wayne was furious, and began stalking Kelly.

When he couldn’t find her, he released his rage on girl he saw on the street, seizing her purse and biting at her breasts.

Sticking safety pins in his wife’s nipples

His marriage three years later to his second wife, Elizabeth, was even more horrific.

Elizabeth later described how Wayne soon developed “weird sexual habits.” He demanded that she have sex with other men in front of him, and delighted in poking her nipples with safety pins.

At one point, he even asked to piece them.

Elizabeth soon fell pregnant – but five months in, Ford turned violent.

In August 1995, what started as an ordinary argument turned toxic.

Wayne beat and choked her with his belt, before raping her, leaving her so scared that she fled the apartment.

Elizabeth asked for a divorce and took their newborn baby son with her.

Cooking breasts of his victims

Now alone, Ford commenced his killing spree.

In October 1997, Ford saw 25-year-old Jane Doe out of his window while working as a long-haul trucker in Eureka, California.

He picked her up, and had sex with her in the cab of the truck.

But their passionate tryst soon turned violent, as Wayne started to strangle her.

Wayne later claimed that he did this for his victims’ “pleasure”.

He said he wanted to heighten the women’s orgasms through “erotic asphyxia” by pressing on their carotid artery and so cutting off their supply of oxygen.

But Wayne strangled Jane with such force that she died. This sent Wayne into crisis.

His first reaction was to start to dismember the body. He put some of the limbs in the freezer, and placed her breasts in the oven. He cooked them, and stored the fat in a coffee can above the stove.

He dumped the rest of her body in a nearby river where it was later discovered by a photographer and his friends.

Lacking legs, arms, breasts, and a head, the police dubbed the corpse “Torso Girl”.

In May 1996, Wayne found his next victim, a young, blonde prostitute called Tina Gibbs, in Las Vegas.

Like with Jane, Wayne raped and strangled her. She passed out several times, and Wayne resuscitated her using CPR until eventually, he couldn’t revive her.

Wayne stored the body in his truck for some days, until he finally abandoned it in the California Aqueduct.

Over the next four months, Wayne kidnapped a further three women who survived his sequence of burning, beating, and strangling. He tied them up and left them on the side of the road.

His third victim, Lanett White, was captured on 20th September 1996.

Once more, Lanett was victim to Wayne’s multiple suffocation and resuscitation attempts during sex. Her body was discovered stripped naked, floating in an irrigation ditch in San Joaquin County.

His final victim was Patricia Tamez, 29. She flashed Wayne from the pavement while he was driving through Victorville – he turned around and picked her up. Her body, with one breast removed, was later found in an aqueduct near Hysperia.

‘I did something bad’

Finally, in November 1998 Wayne got drunk in a bar, and called his brother to tell him of his crimes.

Rodney recalls: “My brother was incoherent, just rambling, not making a whole lot of sense. He told me he’d done something bad, he hurt some people and he didn’t wanna hurt anybody anymore.”

Rodney drove over to his hotel room and Wayne told him about all the crimes he had committed.

That same day, the two brothers walked into Humboldt County Sheriff’s department. Wayne recounted the story. At first, the officers didn’t believe the testimony and asked for evidence.

Rodney recalled how his brother pulled a bag out of his pocket which had Patricia’s breast in it.

It was then that in Rodney’s words, “all hell broke loose.”

Wayne was charged with four counts of murder and sentenced to death for the killing of Tina Gibbs, Patricia Tamez, Lanett White, and Jane.

Watching his brother on death row, Rodney says he anticipates his death with a mixture of guilt and relief.

“He’s my brother, I love him,” he said. “But I think I love more of the memory of who my brother was to me. You know, not what he is now.”

I Lived with a Killer airs on C&I on Monday at 9pm.
