A ‘sickness bug’ on board a return Jet2 flight from Spain left passengers being ‘violently sick’ and triggered an emergency response from paramedics.
Emergency services were scrambled to the runway at Leeds Bradford Airport at 9.45pm on Saturday to reports of four people unwell on-board.
When they got there they found four passengers ‘being violently sick to the point where one passed out’ and shut the plane doors to stop any illness spreading.

West Yorkshire Police sergeant Chris Brumfitt wrote on Twitter: ‘Joint emergency service response to Leeds / Bradford airport tonight after reports of a number of people falling ill on an in-bound flight.

The passengers are believed to have fallen ill while the plane was still in the air.
One wrote on Facebook to congratulate Jet2 staff on how they dealt with the incident, saying: ‘Arrived from Salou late last night after a very eventful flight x just want to praise the cabin crew for how well they dealt with the incidents on board x
