Surveillance video released by police on Tuesday shows the moment an 11-year-old boy is propelled into the air after being rammed by a hit-and-run driver in Queens.
The boy was riding his bike in Far Rockaway at about 7:40 p.m. Monday when he was hit by the sedan near the intersection of Dickens Street and Healy Street.
The impact flung the boy into the air and caused him to flip around, the video shows. He landed on the ground several car lengths from where the collision happened, police said.
The driver drove off after the collision and has not been arrested, authorities said.
The boy was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital and treated for internal injuries, police said. He is listed in stable condition.
