In an email which has gone viral, a co-worker at London’s Frost Wealth Management warned Calum Obbard: “We can see you are logged in via remote access.

“Your screen here is visible and we can all see you watching porn between enquiries.

“If you go to the top of the screen there is a menu bar.

“One of the icons will have a black screen option.

“If you click on this it will blank out your office machine, so you can continue in private.”

The memo was widely shared on social media yesterday.

JOKE GONE WRONG

But insiders at the firm, based in the City of London at Moorgate near the Bank of England, say the message was just a “joke gone wrong”.

One said: “The email is true and the exchange actually happened, but it was a stupid laddish joke gone wrong between colleagues.

“Nobody was caught watching porn at home.

“They have both been told off by bosses for the prank and reminded of their professionalism.”

St James’s Place Wealth Management, which owns Frost, said: “We have investigated this alleged incident and have found that the substance of the email is untrue.

“It was an inappropriate prank at a partner practice.

“Both individuals concerned have been spoken to and reminded of our policies on appropriate use of work emails.”
