More than a million people have fled to neighbouring countries as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine enters its ninth day.
Zaporizhzhia, the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, has been seized by Russian forces after the fire that broke out amid ‘continuous enemy shelling’ was extinguished.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of ‘nuclear terror’, and urged world leaders to stop Russia before this becomes a nuclear disaster.
Meanwhile, key city Mariupol is currently under siege, with Russian shelling destroying residential districts, as well as cutting off power and water supplies.
