Prince Harry is dealing with the Thomas Markle drama much like his late mother mum Diana would have done, it’s claimed.
Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell has said he thinks Prince Harry is "taking a leaf out of his mother’s book" by freezing Meghan’s dad out.
The 60-year-old described how Diana would have been "furious" if someone had betrayed her trust in the way Thomas Markle has – and causing the newlyweds problems.
In this week’s New! magazine, he said: "I’ve been in similar situations where people said things about Princess Diana, and the way she dealt with it was by freezing them out.
"It looks as if Harry has taken a leaf out of his mother’s book. Diana said, ‘Once someone burns the bridge of trust towards you it’s very hard to repair it."
He added that "the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree".
Last month, Thomas Markle said his daughter is ignoring him and has changed all her numbers since marrying Harry – but warned he "won’t be silenced" .
He has since claimed that he hung up on Harry after a row on the phone over his interviews with the media and the alleged staged paparazzi photographs.
Meghan’s family have slammed her as being "inhumane" for cutting out her dad.
Speaking to the Mirror , her brother Tom Jnr, 51, said: “Throughout our lives, dad always put Meg first, above me and my sister, but if what he is saying is true it appears she is abusing his love for her."
Meghan’s estranged half-brother has also questioned why the royals don’t treat them like the Middletons – and hopes to patch things up .
However, Burrell reckons there’s one key thing that distinguishes Meghan from Diana in all this family turmoil.
He said that life is "not going to be easy" for Meghan, but said the Duchess of Sussex has "something that Diana never had – a man stood beside her who truly adores her".
