A WOMAN has died after being hit by a bus in a rush hour horror smash.
The pedestrian, aged in her 30s, was walking in packed Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch when she was struck.
Sadly she couldn't be saved and was declared dead at the scene.
Fire engines and ambulances swarmed the busy London road after the horror unfolded just before 9am today.
The Met Police confirmed no arrests have been made and road closures are in place.
A statement said: "Police were called at 0856hrs on Friday, 4 February to reports of a pedestrian having been in collision with a bus at Great Eastern Street, EC2.
"Police, London Ambulance Service, London’s Air Ambulance and London Fire Brigade attended.
"At the scene a woman, aged 30s, had been injured in the collision. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
