A 48-YEAR-OLD woman found "murdered" in a house suffered fatal head injuries, according to cops.
Police launched an investigation into the mystery death after discovering the body while searching a three-bedroom house in Sheffield on Tuesday.
South Yorkshire Police have now named the woman as Emily Sanderson.
Emily had been "reported missing" to cops on May 25 after not being "seen or heard from" for six days.
Her body was then tragically found at the property on Crofton Avenue earlier this week.
And a forensic post mortem has now confirmed that her cause of death was from "head injuries".

"This is necessary to gather as much evidence as possible to help us understand exactly what happened.
“Now we have been able to establish Emily’s identity, I’d urge anyone who may have information to come forward.
"Emily was reported missing to police on Thursday 25 May, after she had not been seen or heard from since the previous Friday (19 May).
“We’d therefore be keen to hear from anyone who may be able to tell us more about Emily’s movements since 19 May, whether they saw her or spoke with her, as that information could be incredibly important to our investigation.”
The force has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct following the incident.
