Aerials reveal major renovations at Adele's $58M Beverly Park mansion

EXCLUSIVE: Rolling in the deep end! Aerial photos show Adele’s massive renovation of $58 million 8-bed, 12-bath LA mansion she bought from Sylvester Stallone – but she’s left his iconic poolside statue of Rocky intact

  • New aerial shots obtained by DailyMail.com reveal a major renovation job underway at Adele’s $58million mansion in North Beverly Park, a year and a half after she purchased it from Sylvester Stallone
  • Photos suggest the British singer is taking on the most radical interior overhaul possible without altering the shape of the property after obtaining a building permit for an ‘interior non-structural remodel’
  • It was widely believed the 35-year-old had been shacking up with fiancé Rich Paul at the eight-bed, 12-bath home after she shared a sweet photo of the couple holding up the keys to the posh pad last year

Fifteen months after she snapped up Sylvester Stallone’s Beverly Park home for $58million, Adele is ripping up the massive mansion and making it her own, new DailyMail.com photos reveal.

It was widely believed that the British singer had been shacking up with fiancé Rich Paul at her new posh pad, but aerial images show the property is currently just a shell of a building.

The hitmaker, 35, bought the eight-bedroom, 12-bathroom home in January last year, saddling her with a colossal $37.7million mortgage – and now she is taking on a major renovation job.

Stallone, 76, had listed it for $110 million, then reduced the price to $85 million before he accepted Adele’s offer of barely half his original asking price

THEN: Adele purchased Sylvester Stallone’s eight-bed, 12-bath mansion last January in the exclusive Beverly Park neighborhood of Los Angeles for $58million where the actor had a statue of his iconic Rocky character in the swimming pool area

NOW: Nearly a year and half later, the mega-mansion now stands as shell of a building as the British singer has been taking on a major renovation project – but has so far kept the iconic statue

Last May, Adele appeared to confirm she and fiancé Rich Paul had moved in to the new house together after a year of dating by sharing a snap of them holding the keys outside the home

DailyMail.com has learned a building permit report was filed with the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety last July for an ‘alteration/repair.’

The description states that the permit is for ‘interior non-structural remodel to existing SFD [single family dwelling]’ and notes there is ‘no added floor area or change to building footprint’ nor to the ‘exterior of structure.’

The images suggest Adele has taken on the most radical interior overhaul possible without altering the shape of the property, as just the shell remains of the main building, although the guest house appears to remain untouched.

Construction workers have set up a large one-story portacabin as their temporary base while completing the work, which looks nowhere near finished.

Rob’s wife Zoe Winkler Reinis is best friends with Kim Kardashian, who called Zoe ‘one of my lifers’ in reference to their enduring friendship since high school.

The one part of Stallone’s property to remain untouched is the pool area, which has a statue of Rocky with his fist pointing to the sky at one end. It is the iconic pose of Stallone at the top of the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum.

The iconic Rocky statue (pictured) appears to have survived the overhaul project, however, a sculpture of a polo player on a horse on the opposite side of the garden has been removed

It’s estimated Adele is paying $227,000 per month – including high property taxes for the celeb enclave and a five percent interest rate – which is a big sum even for the singer, whose net worth is $183million

The real estate purchase was Adele’s fourth in Los Angeles after buying three properties next to each other in the exclusive Beverly Hills suburb of Hidden Valley. The 18,587 square-foot home was designed by Richard Landry

But a statue of a polo player on a horse on the opposite side of the garden has not survived Adele’s remodel.

Stallone is an avid fan of the sport. His family have a long history with polo, as his late father Frank was a professional player back in his native Italy.

He once stated in an interview that ‘playing polo is like trying to play golf during an earthquake’, adding: ‘It’s weird, when you are on the horse you think you look like Rambo and you should charge around, but that’s not what the game is about. It’s about being patient. I have to remember that a lot of the time.’

His former home was full of Rambo and Rocky references when it was put on the market, but it appears that Adele wanted to make a fresh start.

Sylvester Stallone had been working hard to sell the mega mansion that he purchased in the ’90s, and initially listed the beautiful home for $110million, but there were no takers. He cut the price down to $85million, finally selling it to Adele for $58million

According to the realtor selling the property – who called the estate a ‘world-class celebrity contemporary Mediterranean compound’ – there were statues and artworks all over the place pointing to Sly’s greatest films.

The listing said: ‘The timeless design of the living room is pretty much insane; paintings on the wall have a fireplace, billiards, unique big graffiti art with the name of Rambo, comfy couches with a dramatic view from the outside.

‘You may notice a lot of Rambo memorabilia on the wall in the area. In a few steps, the memorabilia room and office are excellent there’s a big and tall Rambo statue, cabinet with Rambo figures, Trophies, different sculptures, and paintings.

‘Watching the natural beauty of nature while swimming in an infinity pool with Rocky Balboa Sculpture will never miss out.’
