Anne Heche’s ex-boyfriend and Hung co-star Thomas Jane files lawsuit over mostly unpaid $150,000 loan after her death in a car crash

Thomas Jane, who dated Anne Heche briefly beginning back in 2019, has filed a lawsuit against her estate over an unpaid loan, according to People. 

The 53-year-old actor alleges the deceased actress borrowed $157,000 from him prior to her death. 

The lawsuit claims that Heche agreed to pay back the loan in $10,000 monthly installments beginning in August 2021.

Jane claims Heche paid him the first two installments but still owes him $149,106.04 because of interest and late charges. 

According to the suit, the Donnie Brasco actress owes Jane $137,000 in the principal, $9,814.79 in interest (as of November 8) and $2,291.85 in late charges. 

The Punisher actor is also suing for $18.77 per day in growing interest, according to the publication.

‘She was crazy in love with him,’ one friend told DailyMail.com. ‘After so many failed relationships she thought she finally found her person – the guy who would be in her life forever.

‘And when they couldn’t make it work, she started falling apart.’

Heche and Jane worked together on the series Hung which ran from 2009 to 2011.  

Jane’s lawsuit is the second brought against the Heche estate in recent weeks. The first came from the woman renting the house Heche’s car hit in the crash that killed her. 

In another piece written for People, Lynn Mishele is suing the estate for at $2 million in relation to the accident. 

She is suing for ‘negligence,’ ‘infliction of emotional distress’ and ‘trespass,’ according to the outlet.

Mishele was allegedly ‘working from home when she was stunned by the dramatic force of Heche’s vehicle slamming through the front wall and driving through the living room, kitchen, home office, and primary room closet before settling into the laundry/storage room of her house.’ 

The documents go on to say that ‘The front end of the car, incredibly, came to a halt just feet away from Plaintiff and her pets: two dogs named Bree and Rueben and a tortoise named Marley.’ 

‘She was only wearing sweatpants and a tanktop and did not even have shoes on,’ the documents continue. ‘As a result of the deadly incident caused by Heche, the home and all of Plaintiff’s personal property were completely burned and destroyed, including an entire lifetime of possessions, pictures and mementos, all her business papers and equipment, her laptop and iPad, all of her clothing, basic necessities, and household items.

‘In addition to losing all of her possessions and being physically uprooted, Plaintiff has suffered and continues to suffer severe emotional distress and professional hardship.’

Heche was in a coma for several days after a fiery smash in Los Angeles, and the star was left with burns that needed ‘surgical intervention,’ according to her representative.

They told PEOPLE: ‘She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention.’

Her life support was eventually turned off after she was pronounced brain dead by the doctors caring for her.
