Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner cut very casual figures as they attend a parent-teacher event in LA

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner attended a parent-teacher event at a school in Los Angeles on Friday morning.

The 50-year-old performer and the 51-year-old actress cut very casual figures as they left the school separately following the event’s conclusion.

The Argo star, who recently ‘slammed’ a car door during a coffee run with his wife, stayed warm in a brown fur-lined jacket worn on top of a light beige crewneck sweater.

The Academy Award-winning performer finished off his look with a pair of slim-fitting black pants and high-top sneakers that matched the tone of his outerwear. 

Garner opted for a gray sweater that was paired with a blue jeans and white athletic sneakers as she accompanied her ex-husband to the event.

The Alias star also accessorized with several pieces of jewelry and covered up much of her gorgeous brunette hair with a pink hat.

Affleck and his former wife initially met while working on the set of the 2001 feature Pearl Harbor and went on to tie the knot four years later.

The couple’s eldest child Violet, aged 17, was born in 2005, and her siblings Seraphina and Samuel, aged 14 and 11, arrived in 2009 and 2012, respectively.

However, the pair announced that they had separated in 2015 and finalized their divorce in 2018.

Affleck eventually moved on with Jennifer Lopez, whom he previously dated before his relationship with Garner began, and the couple married in July of last year.

The actor serves as a stepfather to her twins Emme and Maximilian, aged 15, whom the hitmaker stars with her former husband Marc Anthony. 

The Good Will Hunting star previously spoke to People and expressed that he was happy to have made a lifelong connection with his ex-wife. 

‘When you have children with somebody you’re connected to them forever. And I’m very lucky she is the mother of my children,’ he said.

Affleck went on to state that he was making an effort to set a good example for his kids despite his separation from their mother.

‘Our marriage didn’t work, and that’s difficult. Both of us really believe that it’s important for kids to see their parents respect one another and get along, whether they’re together or not,’ he said.

The performer subsequently remarked that he still held Garner in very high regard.

‘It’s important for my kids to know that I respect and care about Jen and she treats me the same way,’ he said.
