‘I love it!’ Billie Eilish chops off her blonde hair as she unveils new bob with bowl cut-style fringe
Billie Eilish has undergone another dramatic hair transformation.
After recently switching to platinum blonde for her new album Happier Than Ever, the pop star has now chopped off her long locks in favor of a bob.
The 19-year-old Bad Guy singer showed off her new look on Monday via Instagram, showing a bowl cut-inspired fringe as well.
It promptly sent fans into a frenzy, with one questioning whether the Marilyn Monroe-inspired look was for the upcoming Met Gala in New York.

Billie revealed the new look on her Instagram Stories, with a scissor emoji, as well as telling fans: ‘I love it.’
But the singer also revealed that her mother was part of the inspiration for the new ‘do.
She posted a throwback snap of her mom with the caption ‘like my mama’ showing off the similarities between the hairstyles.

Billie was seen sporting longer blonde locks on the cover of her second album Happier Than Ever.
The long-player was released on July 30, and topped the charts in the US as well as 20 other countries around the world.
It is the follow up to her hugely successful first album, when the singer was known for having long black hair with dyed green streaks.

In April, one fan asked Billie why she had been hiding her hair for so long, and she replied, ‘Cause it took six weeks to accomplish… this was the first round.’
Accompanying her reply was a photo dated back to January 16 which showed her with silvery platinum hair at her roots that turned to a shade of red further down her strands.
Although wearing wigs to hide her hair was likely an annoyance, taking it slow proved to be the best option for her hair’s health, as she gushed about how thick it looked after a fan asked if it had been ‘damaged’ from the ‘bleaching process.’
‘Honestly so healthy and I wasn’t expecting that at all,’ she wrote to accompany a photo of her platinum tresses.
