Steve, known to millions around the world as ‘the Crocodile Hunter’, was filming a documentary when he was fatally stabbed in the heart by a stingray barb on September 4, 2006 in Batt Reef, Queensland. He was 44 years old.

In an interview with the late Larry King in 2018, Bindi admitted that she holds no resentments towards stingrays despite the creatures being responsible for her father’s death.

‘I don’t, I honestly don’t… It was just a crazy accident that happened,’ she said at the time.
