Britney Spears’ Boyfriend Opens Up About His Future Plans

Sam Asghari has spoken out about his future plans, and part of those plans may surprise you. In an interview with Forbes, Asghari talked about how he met his now-girlfriend Britney Spears. He told the outlet that Spears saw his photo and was interested in having him play the role of her love interest in her music video for “Slumber Party.” And the rest? Well, that’s pretty much history. According to InTouch Weekly, the two were first linked in 2016, and made their relationship “Instagram official” in early 2017. They had an instant connection that has flourished into a full-blown romance, complete with silly Instagram videos, vacations to tropical locations, and lots of outdoor activities, from hiking to bike riding.

Flash forward five years, and Asghari is ready to take the next step in life. “I want to take my career to the next step when it comes to acting. I want to take my relationship to the next step, as well,” he told Forbes. And while you might think that Asghari is talking about proposing, he is actually talking about something way more serious. Read on to find out what Asghari is thinking about.

Sam Asghari wants to start a family

Sam Asghari told Forbes that he wants to be a “young dad,” and added that he does not “mind becoming a father.” Britney Spears is a mom to two teenaged boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James, whom she welcomed with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, according to Today. These days, Spears sees her kids fairly infrequently. According to StyleCaster, this is due to the custody arrangement that she has with Federline.

However, it seems as though Spears is on the same page as Asghari. Some time in 2020, Spears reportedly told the probate investigator working on her conservatorship case that she “wanted to have a baby,” according to Us Weekly. A source shared that the reason she had not done so was because her father, Jamie Spears, was “against [her] getting pregnant.” A source also told the outlet that Spears wants to marry Asghari, but her father has been a bit of a roadblock when it comes to her happiness.

Spears has been under a conservatorship since 2008, according to The New York Times. Over the past two years, she has been fighting to remove her father from his role as conservator in an effort to take some control back in her own life. Many of her struggles were detailed in a recent documentary about her life, titled Framing Britney Spears. Spears celebrated her 39th birthday on Dec. 2, 2020.
